Community Involvement

Focus on Women

Kara believes it is important to collaborate with and support our community's many female leaders and business owners. Not only does she mentor young female financial representatives and interns within Northwestern Mutual, she also acts as the Director of Membersip for ChicksConnect Bend and actively participates in her local chapter of P.E.O. Kara also enjoys educating women in the community through various speaking events and workshops. And when she can fit it into her schedule, she enjoys attending ribbon cuttings for other female-owned businesses as well as Bend's Connect W events and mixers.

"It was an honor to be one of the keynote speakers at the first annual Celebrate + Elevate on March 10, 2018. This amazing women's enrichment event included goal planning, inspirational talks from local business women, educational talks on body language and personal finance, professional head shots, massages, a photo booth, and so much more. It's safe to say that the women of Central Oregon are already pumped for next year's event!"
